OAP – Behaviour Part 1: Intro to Challenging Behaviour (Surrey Place)
In part one of this two-part series, caregivers will develop an understanding of behaviour, including the underlying reasons why their child may engage in challenging behaviour. Common strategies for addressing behaviours will be introduced. Participants are encouraged to attend part two of the series to learn more about using these strategies to address their child’s behaviour. After attending parts one and two, families are eligible for a 1-hour follow up session to focus on individualized goals and to create a plan to apply their learning at home with their child. This is a foundational family service through the OAP and families must meet eligibility criteria to attend.
