Caring for the Caregiver: for parents of autistic children/adults
Join Danielle Nolan, MSW RSW, for an engaging workshop designed specifically for parents and caregivers. This session will focus on understanding and addressing the unique support needs of caregivers, with an emphasis on improving overall well-being and mitigating caregiver burnout.
Participants will:
Discuss the specific challenges and support needs of caregivers of autistic individuals.
Explore the various forms of stress and its impact on well-being.
Learn effective self-care practices, including how to find support and joy.
Practice self-compassion and mindfulness to help calm the body and the mind.
This workshop is appropriate for parents and caregivers of autistic children, youth, and adults, as well as professionals working with this population
