Flush It Out: Teaching Toileting Routines to Persons with Autism

This 2½-hour workshop provides strategies and tools parents and caregivers may use to establish a toileting routine for their child using the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). This workshop provides information to tailor toileting plans to a child’s unique needs and discusses tips and tricks, as well as ways to troubleshoot challenges.

As a result of participating in this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • state the importance of toilet training
  • describe how to establish a toileting routine
  • identify challenges to toilet training in ASD
  • troubleshoot toileting routine challenges
