OAP – Building Conversations

Conversations are an important part of our day to day lives. From our interactions with family, friends, to the cashier at the store. In this session, families will gain an understanding of the components of conversations including questions and comments. This session also focuses on effective strategies for teaching conversation skills and how to encourage engagement in conversations with peers. This workshop is appropriate for caregivers of children with intermediate communication skills such as 3–4-word sentences, requesting and labelling. This is a foundational family service through the OAP and families must meet eligibility criteria.
