OAP – Increasing Daily Living Skills
Teaching independent living skills to children and teens with Autism Spectrum Disorders is incredibly important. In this workshop families will learn about the variables that influence the learning of self-help skills and different strategies used to teach these skills. Caregivers will also have the opportunity to create a practical teaching plan for their own child. Note: After attending, families are eligible for a 1-hour follow-up session to focus on individualized goals and to create a plan to apply their learning at home with their child. This is a foundational family service through the OAP and families must meet eligibility criteria to attend.
