Provincial: Understanding Challenging Behaviour

(English Event Only)

Registration for this event opens on January 29th at 9:00 AM EST.

There may be times where an autistic person engages in challenging behaviours as a way of expressing their needs and wants. A caregiver may become concerned because the individual appears unhappy or uncomfortable or are at risk of harm to themselves or others. Under these circumstances, it may be helpful to better understand what is contributing to these behaviours and consider obtaining support so that the autistic person can get their needs and wants met in an easier and safer way.

Join Kristin Gunby (Behaviour Analyst, M.S., BCBA) and Bethany Brewin (Occupational Therapist, M.Sc.O.T) as we help you to understand why these types of behaviours may occur and guide you to where you can find support.

This workshop is intended for caregivers of autistic individuals of all ages.

Register now for this online session. The Zoom Meeting information will be sent to you following your registration.

Please note that spaces are limited for this event. Capacity limits for workshops give attendees more access to the presenter and enable more opportunities for conversation. If the workshop is at capacity, a waitlist will be offered.
