Transitional Aged Youth Roundtables – Self Care
Kerry’s Place is excited to offer a monthly drop-in group, Transitional Aged Youth Roundtables. The program is created for youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ages 14-18, who are experiencing a transition. The group promotes participants to engage in roundtable discussions on transitional-related skills. Teens will get the opportunity to interact with each other, enjoy activities and discuss ways to cope with various transitions.
The Roundtable topic will focus on the purpose and importance of self-care. Participants will have opportunity to discuss and explore ways to develop and incorporate self-care skills in their routines to promote health and wellness. This session will conclude with TAY Roundtable recommendations to encourage the application of strategies and skills taught during session.
