OAP – Supporting Social Skills (Surrey Place)

Would you like to help your child improve their social skills? This workshop will highlight teaching strategies to enhance interactions with peers. Common social skills such as greetings, sharing, initiating interactions, and having conversations will be discussed. This session is appropriate for caregivers of children with a functional communication system who are school age or older. Note: After attending, families are eligible for a 1-hour follow up session to focus on individualized goals and to create a plan to apply their learning at home with their child. This is a foundational family service through the OAP and families must meet eligibility criteria to attend.
